My does time fly!! Dante turned 6 years old this month.. Seems just like yesterday that I was picking him up at the airport after his January trip from Salt Lake City. He is such a great and special dog, and in our yearly tradition, I opted to have a little birthday party for him!
I made him some grain free pupcakes with peanut butter and whipped cream on top, and I will say they were a HIT with the kids! This is a super healthy and SIMPLE recipe to make and it smelled sensational and is definitely people approved. I took 1 teaspoon baking powder, 2 eggs, 1 apple finely chopped, and 6 tablespoons of peanut butter (I got some very simple pb, but make sure there is no xylitol in what you get or have as it is not good for dogs!). I would make half of this recipe if it were just for one dog, but considering there were 3 total, I made more. They made the house smell AMAZING, and only took 20 minutes at 350 degrees in the oven. Allow them to cool for a few, and then top with whatever your pup likes best!
Excited for their doggy cakes!
Abby on the left, birthday boy, Dante, on the right! Chewy, the chihuahua, would not participate in this photo.
Chewy scarfed her’s down faster than anyone!
Overall, it was a successful and easy way to please these pups for their special birthday treats! Thank you, Brandon, for helping me make them and eating an approving them for people! 😉
Still can’t believe he’s 6!!!
